In the 2010 report on Global AIDS Epidemic the UNAIDS/WHO Working Group estimated that around 270,000 adults in Vietnam were living with HIV, 0.4% of the population compared to 0.2% in the UK.

The 2010 Report on the Global AIDS Epidemic by the UNAIDS/WHO Working Group estimates approximately 39,000 children and adults living with HIV/AIDS in Honduras.

However, it is important to note that according to the "UNAIDS 2006 Report on the Global AIDS Epidemic" there are no recorded cases of contracting HIV or AIDS from a tattoo needle due to the absence of a reservoir inside the needle containing enough blood to deliver the virus into the body to pass infection.

An estimated 2.5 million children around the world are living with HIV/AIDs, according to the Joint United Nations Program on HIV/AIDS (JNAIDS) "2010 Report on the Global AIDS Epidemic."

In the 2008 Report on the Global AIDS Epidemic the UNAIDS/WHO Working Group estimated that around 18,000 adults aged 15 or over in Australia were living with HIV; the prevalence rate was estimated at around 0.2% of the adult population.

In the 2010 Report on the Global AIDS Epidemic the UNAIDS/WHO Working Group estimated that around 91,000 adults aged 15 or over in Iran were living with HIV; the prevalence percentage was estimated at around 0.2% of the adult population, which equals the prevalence percentage in the UK.

In the 2010 Report on the Global AIDS Epidemic, the UNAIDS/WHO Working Group estimated that 520,000 adults in Thailand were living with HIV; the prevalence percentage was estimated at around 1.3% of the adult population compared to the prevalence percentage in the UK of 0.2%.
