In a small heavy skillet or saucepan over very low heat, melt butter and add pecans and salt.
Remove from heat and add the butter, eggs, cognac, pecans, salt and nutmeg.
Add pecans and stir to coat them.
Add cranberries, pecans and white chocolate chips, and mix gently until blended.
Add bread cubes, olives, pecans, parsley and the rest of the dressing seasonings and stir well.
Uncover, add pears and pecans, and toss to mix.
Add corn bread, pecans, salt, pepper, sage, parsley, broth and egg.
Add currants or pecans, if desired, and toss to combine.
Melt butter, add minced onion and pecans, and sauté about 8 minutes.
Add pecans and cranberries, and toss again until evenly distributed.
