He was later found to have died of cocaine intoxication and heart disease.

"We have concluded that the underlying cause of his death was acute cocaine intoxication," the report said.

"Patient eliminated symptoms of cocaine intoxication," the report said.

She said the cause of death was "acute cocaine intoxication and an enlarged heart."

Croudip was the third prominent athlete in two years to die of cocaine intoxication.

The city's Medical Examiner found that the chief cause of death was acute cocaine intoxication, the hospital said.

A "significant condition," the autopsy report said, was cocaine intoxication.

"A lot of the people who die from cocaine intoxication really are dying from heat stroke," he said.

His son, Curt, died on February 10, 2003 of acute cocaine intoxication.

The use of cocaine by nursing mothers can cause cocaine intoxication in their babies.
