"I am sure of it," answered the lad with a twinkle in his eyes.
While I am interested, it really is none of my business," answered the lad with a smile.
The lad did not answer that, but only waved once more, and a moment later had passed out of sight among the trees.
"Sure," answered the lad, but in truth they didn't have to steal food.
He knew from experience that these lads did not answer questions.
"I saw that you came near making a hit a few moments ago," answered the lad.
"I see something big and black," answered the other lad, after a moment's hesitation.
"So I have been told before," answered the lad, laughing.
"Perhaps I fell in," answered the lad with a faint smile.
"I am going to see the play through," answered the lad, in a hard, bitter voice.
