As of 2008, 32 locomotives have been ordered, with options for a further 29:
In 1910 a somewhat heavier and larger locomotive was ordered from Hanomag.
Another ten locomotives were ordered and delivered a year later.
Another very similar locomotive was ordered home in 1935.
A further 4 locomotives and 10 passenger coaches were also ordered.
In 1938 a further ninety-five locomotives were ordered, built by three manufacturers.
Therefore a further ten locomotives of the original design were ordered from Brighton works.
A fourth locomotive, identical to the first three, was ordered from the same manufacturer in 1911.
The locomotive proved successful and was ordered in large numbers.
