Staff at one of the country's oldest breweries have joined the fight to keep it independent.

There are plans for a new building, as a site has been secured where an old brewery was.

This has also been claimed as being the world's oldest brewery.

Established in 725, this is said to be the oldest brewery in the world.

One of the oldest breweries in the country can be found there, Zapovca.

Like that old brewery they tried to burn down.

It has been referred to as the oldest brewery in Prague.

The North St site is around 1200m: a little over three times the size of the older brewery.

According to the firm's statements it has been a family business since 1429, and is therefore one of the oldest private breweries in Germany.

The site itself is a 30-minute walk past the village, near the old brewery.
