On 11-12 May 1944 the regiment assaulted across the Gari River supporting the 19th Indian Brigade of the 8th Indian Division.
Five Field Regiments and two Medium Regiments of the Royal Artillery supported the Brigade.
Over the course of the following three weeks the squadron supported the 25th Brigade in its advance along the Milford Highway.
The following night they crossed the Estrees Road and took up position northeast of Estrees to support the 6th Brigade which was attacking positions beyond Beaurevoir.
Originally his battalion was withdrawn from combat, but two days later it was sent to support the 41st Brigade at the Second Battle of Ypres.
Two days later the 26th Brigade took up positions in the west near the coast to support the 20th Brigade which was holding the pass at Er Regima.
On 25 July, the squadron was transferred to support the 25th Brigade in its advance along Milford Highway.
On 4 May, they were assigned to support the 26th Brigade and after relieving the 2/23rd Battalion, they commenced patrolling operations around the Tarakan town and the adjacent oilfields.
This role has seen the Squadron exercise worldwide, often sending small sub-units or individual soldiers to support the Brigade wherever it is training.
The battalion also supported the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division in their area of operation.
