WRVS arrange holidays for underprivileged children each year, aged from 6-12.

The WRVS set up a field kitchen to provide hot food and drink to the rescuers.

Some are run by Age Concern or WRVS groups for the council.

In July last year came the news that the WRVS was looking for its first chief executive.

Each WRVS delivery round serves up to 40 people a day over a two-hour period around lunch time.
