Can I replace the alternator pulley with a larger one to slow it down?

Disabling the field reduces alternator pulley mechanical loading to nearly zero, maximizing crankshaft power.

The alternator pulley and fan are not normally exchanged and should be retained and fitted to the new unit.

The rotor is driven by the alternator pulley, rotating as the engine runs, hence the name "rotor."
