From 2005 to 2009, BSA Scotland produced a twice yearly newsletter, Blether.

Hagg Lane siding, near the village of Belton, was next, from where John Blether agreed to forward 2,500 tons per year.

On 5 December 2007, a new weather blog was launched - Weather Blether, presented and produced by weatherman Seán Batty.

Weather Blether was an occasional supplementary blog for STV's regional weather service, serving Northern and Central Scotland.

Since 2009, Seán's weather blogs are included in the main STV Weather website, and don't use the "Weather Blether" name.
