Pupils in years 12 and 13 also make use of the Careers Library.

There is also a separate careers library containing prospectuses and career information.

The sixth form study area, careers library, learning resources centre and technology block also have computer workstations.

The careers library is a resource which aims to provide careers opportunities, ideas, inspirations for all students.

Both offices have Careers Libraries containing information about jobs, employers, vacancies and further study opportunities including funding arrangements.

At over 300 square metres it is an extremely valuable study area including a computer resource area and the Careers Library.

Connexions (computer suite & careers library)

There is a Connexions Careers Library with facilities for accessing the latest information on university courses and future career directions.

By 2000 this new school building was no longer big enough and a large extension was built that containing computer and science labs and a careers library.

The school has a Careers Library that any student can use, that contains prospectuses and information from various Universities, as well as information about possible careers paths.

There is also a hatch in the floor, used as the fire escape in case of emergency; a drop-down ladder leads down to the Careers Library on the floor below.

The main office, and the Careers Library, are at 33 Buccleuch Place, EH8 9JT; there is a satellite office at King's Buildings.

The counsellors are available to see students every weekday from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm at 7 Buccleuch Place (first flat), and two mornings a week at the King's Buildings Union,(first floor, through the Careers Library).

In order to find out which firms and organisations offer training, you should consult a book called ROSET [Register of Solicitors Employing Trainees]which is available from your careers library or from the Law Society.

In the new annex, there is a Conference Room, a Computer-Assisted Learning Room, a Language Room, a Student Activity Centre, an English Room, a Careers Library, a Social Worker's Room and a Music Practice and Activities Room.
