In all cases where a document or certificate is referred to, only original documents or certified photocopies will be accepted.

British Consulates in Spain are able to provide certified photocopies of the following documents:

Notaries have the authority to make certified photocopies in cases where certified copies of a document can not be obtained from another public official.

The original document has been signed and certified in the UK by a solicitor or notary public with a current practising certificate We cannot legalise certified photocopies of these documents under any circumstances.

In addition to proof of identity which is usually a British passport, please note that proof of current address is always required for the issue of all consular certificates, informative notes, letters and notarial acts including certified photocopies.
