The Rheola Charity Carnival has been going for 142 years (2012) with it beginning in 1871.

The district is known for its annual Easter Monday Charity Carnival which celebrated its 142nd running in 2012.

In 2007, the Neville Brothers and Ryan Shaw played at the charity carnival at the beach party.
