I don't mind clickbait, but this is a clear case of bait and switch.
Had you been around Ars longer, you'd be aware that misleading headlines and other cheap clickbait gimmicks weren't always standard editorial procedure.
I don't think Ars uses clickbait as a barometer to see how successful an article is, so I don't think you'll have to worry about them discontinuing their valuable news!
Before I get my dander up on these sorts of issues I like to find out whether this is a potential/theoretical issue used for clickbait on some little read Internet rag or blog or a real issue with examples of real victims.
