A small erratum slip in the book itself explains that it was a mistake.

The best thing about it is the erratum slip in the front which simply says: "This is the wrong book."

As a consequence, later versions of the book came out with an erratum slip longer than the entire introduction.

In his second book, The Return of Heroic Failures, Stephen Pile reports that Taiwanese pirates were not aware of this and did not include the erratum slip.

Florence recognised this error and inserted an erratum slip, but then replaced this diagram in later documents (nos. 3, 4, and 5 listed above) with what I will call the "wedges" diagram.

In the final days of the exhibition, which ended on Aug. 29, the wall text to the artwork was amended to credit Ms. Ferrato's work, and an erratum slip with credit information was included in the catalogue to the show.
