padparadscha sapphire

Padparadscha sapphires are rare; the rarest of all is the totally natural variety, with no sign of artificial treatment.

We have not seen this colour effect with Padparadscha sapphires or any heated pink or heated orange sapphires.

It is, however, still orders of magnitude lower than the highest grade sapphires or rubies (padparadscha sapphire or "pigeon's blood" ruby).

Even the same gemstone can occur in many different colors: sapphires show different shades of blue and pink and "fancy sapphires" exhibit a whole range of other colors from yellow to orange-pink, the latter called "padparadscha sapphire".
