A local Taiji activist group, called People Concerned for the Ocean, announced that they would distribute DVDs of the film, dubbed in Japanese, to all 3,500 residents of Taiji.

Macy Morse, along with others, formed the Nashua, New Hampshire People Concerned About the War in Vietnam to help end United States involvement in the Vietnam War.

"We hope over time that this will result in reductions in the amount of hazardous materials kept on site," said Pam L. Nixon, chairwoman of People Concerned About MIC, a local group.
