In 1675, upon the death of the last reigning duke, the Silesian Duchy of Liegnitz-Brieg-Wohlau lapsed to the emperor, and a new secularization of the churches begun.

The traditionalists also say that the massive communications effort has meant that many non-Christian Scientists have had to be hired and that the modest amount of religious material in the church's communications efforts suggests a secularization of the church.
