"We're trying to make it look like it always did," said Michael R. Doyle of Mojo Stumer, who is the project architect.

Stumer Associates in Roslyn, N.Y., said he caters to many Long Island clients with similarly expensive tastes.

The architects were Mojo Stumer and the Ronkonkoma-based Baldassano Architectural Group.

The new restaurant will be called the Mixed Grill 19th Hole and will include an adults-only restaurant, Mr. Stumer said.

The original design was by A.H. Salkowitz of Jamaica, Queens, and Mojo Stumer.

"Most people are more comfortable with a traditional-style house but contemporary-style mansions are coming back," said Mark D. Stumer, an architect with offices in Roslyn.

For the chairman of an investment bank who is building a house in New Jersey, Mr. Stumer has designed two walk-behind bars, with ice makers specified for each.

The building's conversion was a challenge, said Mark D. Stumer, a Mojo Stumer principal.

The magazine was first published in May 1903 as The Red Book Illustrated by Stumer, Rosenthal and Eckstein, a firm of Chicago retail merchants.

The architecture and design for Rubie Corporate Plaza was a collaborative design from Thomas Mojo of Mojo Stumer.

The two-building complex is being designed by Mojo Stumer Architects of Roslyn in conjunction with the Baldassano Architectural Group of Hauppauge.

The revival of what Mr. Stumer called "walk-behind bars," once as vital a rec-room accouterment as Perry Como on the hi-fi, has made ice makers a must.
