The Ackerman Institute for the Family is a training institute for family and couple therapy.

A compassionate, wise and gentle man who was a much valued member of the Board of Trustees of the Ackerman Institute for the Family.

"Sometimes I think of myself as a couples counselor," said Dr. Neuwirth, who has studied at the Ackerman Institute for the Family.

"Writing really moves it forward," said Ms. Booth of the Ackerman Institute, which trains professionals in narrative therapy.

Ms. Booth of the Ackerman Institute cautions against confronting siblings in a hostile manner - and never, as she put it, en masse.

Gwen, a Board Member Emeritus of the Ackerman Institute, also served for several years as its Executive Secretary.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ackerman Institute.

"No matter how good you are, there's always that nut who exposes himself on the subway," Mrs. Mohr of the Ackerman Institute said.

She is studying family therapy at the Ackerman Institute in New York.

That may not be much of a dent, but the Ackerman Institute is a model and a lot of health-delivery people are watching it.
