In 1982 he served as President of the Alberta Association of Architects.
On June 1, 2006 Yankowsky was appointed to the first board of directors of the Alberta Association of Former MLAs.
Her application to join the Alberta Association of Architects may have been declined because she lacked the mandatory one year experience.
Upon returning to Canada, she reapplied to the Alberta Association of Architects.
In that same year the library's board was honoured the Alberta Association of Trustees Award of Excellence.

Bradley was appointed to serve on the first board of directors for the Alberta Association of Former MLAs by Speaker Ken Kowalski.
He was also a member of the provincial executive of the Alberta Association of Municipal Districts and Counties from 1987 to 1989.
The Commuter Challenge was officially launched in 1999 and is currently coordinated Nationally by the Calgary-based environmental group, the Sustainable Alberta Association.
In 2011 Sustainable Alberta Association participated in the Shell "Fuelling Change" grant and won $100,000 to help facilitate the development of the commuter tracking software.
