The giant robot takes the Metal Men to a football stadium that is celebrating "I am an American Day".

It has been combined with Native American Day on the south steps of the State Capitol and runs from 10:00 to 2:00.

One of the biggest celebrations is called the North American Indian Days.

I join my fellow Americans in celebrating Korean American Day.

Crowded in white plastic letters between the old events are new, more relevant ones, like "American Hispanic Day, Sept. 21."

Also called American Indian Day, it is observed annually on the fourth Friday in September.

The flower is one of the symbols used in Latin American Day of the Dead celebrations.

In the 1880s and 1890s there were several further attempts to establish an American "Mother's Day", but these did not succeed beyond the local level.
