English National Park and Broads Authorities are funded by central government.

The Act requires the Broads Authority to take account of the area's national importance and the need to protect it.

Because of its navigation role the Broads Authority was established under its own legislation on 1 April 1989.

The area has the status of a National Park and is protected by the Broads Authority.

Makes similar provision as 4A for the Broads Authority for land in that area.

National park authorities and the Broads Authority are also local planning authorities.

As in other broadland villages, the land lying directly adjacent to the river falls into the executive area of the Broads Authority.

The Broads Authority is not democratically elected.

However, those parts of the parish lying adjacent to the river fall into the executive area of the Broads Authority.

The Broads Authority has managed the area since 1989.
