Brooklyn detectives have arrested a man in the daytime killing of a cobbler inside his Park Slope store, the police said yesterday.

A Brooklyn detective was charged in federal court yesterday with concealing evidence to cover up his cousin's role in a mob shooting.

Two Brooklyn detectives questioned Daniel and later released him to his parents.

In some cases, parents know their childrens' whereabouts and may be getting some money from the drug sales, say Brooklyn detectives.

"He made his bones here in the streets - selling crack, doing stick-ups," one Brooklyn detective said.

And last month, Brooklyn detectives identified a dead woman by releasing a picture of a distinctive pendant she wore around her neck.

An intriguing question was whether the crew of Brooklyn detectives had 'masterminded' the earlier bank robberies, too.

Meanwhile, the five Brooklyn detectives were put under surveillance, but we weren't given the go-ahead to bring them in.

In July 1989 he hurled a typewriter at a Brooklyn detective who was questioning him.

"Anybody who has got to carry a card to deal with the public shouldn't be on the job," said one Brooklyn detective with 18 years of experience.
