Bull Page was a son of the very important Calumet Farm sire Bull Lea.
They gave much of the honor to the dominant stallion Bull Lea, who died at age 29 after siring 58 stakes winners.
Bull Lea sired fifty-eight stakes winners, seven of which are Hall of Fame members.
Bull Lea died on June 16, 1964 at Calumet Farm and is buried there with a statue overlooking his grave.
Lawrin won over a field that also included Menow, Fighting Fox, and Bull Lea.
Bull Lea became the No. 1 sire, Calumet the No. 1 farm.
He also sire the stallion, Bull Lea, a hugely influential American sire.
