Campus Compact is a coalition of college and university presidents, committed to fulfilling the public purposes of higher education.
In 2002, Campus Compact launched the Raise Your Voice campaign, the Compact's first national effort to work with students themselves.
In 2005, the 20th year of its existence, Campus Compact had grown to 32 state affiliates and more than 1000 member campuses.

In 1992, 17 percent of Campus Compact's members offered alternative spring break trips; now 60 percent do.
Campus Compact, a national project founded in 1985 to promote community service by college students, has 140 institutional members, including 19 New York State campuses.
In 1985, Swearer helped found Campus Compact, a national non-profit dedicated to the civic purpose of higher education and the development of future democratic leaders.
