"It might actually have made things easier for her," said Chase.

Chase says some branches of both will have to be closed.

Chase said nothing, could not bring himself to speak, for now he understood what the call was about.

"Tell me what you found," Chase said, as if it would be news to him even though he was the subject.

"You must be very good on stage by now," Chase said.

"I'm looking for a guy who used to come here," Chase said.

"Without some more information," Chase said, "we have no way of making a decision on the matter."

Chase said something more or less comforting and moved on.

"I just remembered an old friend here in town," said Chase.

But Chase had said that if there was another pass, he didn't know about it.
