In November, 1999, Citadel Communications entered the Atlantic City market as it purchased Spring Broadcasting.
That position has been open since last month, when Farid Suleman unexpectedly quit Infinity to become chief executive of Citadel Communications, a smaller rival broadcaster.
The station was acquired by Citadel Communications, a Bronxville-based company not related to the larger radio station owner Citadel Broadcasting, in 1984.

"I'm on a binge to try and buy radio stations," said Larry Wilson, the chief executive of Citadel Communications, which already owns more than 160 stations.
Mr. Suleman will become chief executive of Citadel Communications, a smaller rival.
It is owned by Citadel Communications (not related to the defunct radio station operator Citadel Broadcasting).
Connecticut has kept the profits generated from another investment Forstmann Little made, in Citadel Communications.
