Township of Cove Creek is one of thirty-seven townships in Washington County, Arkansas, USA.

Throughout the 1920s, various groups lobbied state and federal legislatures to gain funding for a dam at the confluence of Cove Creek and the Clinch River.

The canal was originally a natural waterway known as Long Cove Creek, that has been straightened and given artificial banks.

At Latah, it receives a short tributary, Cove Creek, on the right bank.
