Sung by Curt Smith, this is one of the few songs in the Tears for Fears catalogue on which he shares a writing credit.
"You'd have thought some people would hate him for that, but he was manifestly a person of good will," said Curt Smith, a sports broadcasting historian.
"It really bothered me," he told Curt Smith in "America's Dizzy Dean."
Aeroplane was the second solo album released by Curt Smith, member of the British pop band Tears for Fears.
The Canadian version contains songs that were originally on the 1998 self-titled album from the band Mayfield (of which Curt Smith was a member).
Orzabal met Curt Smith while both were in their early teens in Bath, Somerset.
The song was the second single released after the departure of Curt Smith from the band (after "Laid So Low" in 1992).
In his book Storied Stadiums, Curt Smith described it as "small, (but) not intimate."
The lead vocal was sung by Curt Smith (and was the only track he sang on the whole The Seeds of Love album).
