The dancer, who is in the corps de ballet, started studying at the North Jersey School of Dance Arts in Hackettstown when she was 7 years old.

In 1960, she opened the Philadelphia School of Dance Arts, which now has more than 700 students.

The State School for Dance Art is located there as well.
