He began as an assistant professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics.

He chaired the Department of Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry from 2006-2009 before being appointed Vice-President in 2011.

The documentary was released in April 2010 to critical acclaim, as a joint project of Asian Man Records and Department of Biophysics.

From 1961 until his retirement in 1971 Pollard taught at Pennsylvania State University, founding the Department of Biophysics there.

Then, he moved to Rochester, Minnesota to the Department of Physiology and Biophysics, Mayo Foundation.

He then joined the faculty in the Department of Physiology and Biophysics at the Washington University in 1971, where he remained until 1990.

In 1971 he moved to University College London, where he worked in the Department of Biophysics under Bernard Katz.

All members of the Department of Physiology & Biophysics are profoundly saddened by this untimely loss of a cherished colleague and friend.
