"Be back in a minute," Dot says, as though she's running errands down the street and worried about her boy.
Dot is saying something ugly to her husband, who's hunkered even lower behind the wheel.
They say an emotional goodbye, and Dot says she can visit at any time.
I have got myself to believe it, somehow,' said Dot.
They're saving to build a home, and we couldn't have them do that," Dot said.
Dot said, "This boy could take a lot of grief.
As Dot would say, it's just too perfectly darn outrageous.
"She looks up at me like a dog in the cold," Dot says.
'You are a nice person,' said Dot, though she was beginning to feel unsure about it.
Dot and me, come to visit you,' she said brightly.
