Its working title was initially Dr. Bean, based on a misunderstanding which forms part of the plot of the film.

Throughout his career, Dr. Bean was well known for his expertise in the field of nutrition, but even more so for his teaching and writing excellence.

"There seems to be discrimination against women even before they're born," said Dr. Bean.
