"I think we begin by teaching about the physical environment," Elder said.

He shook his head and tried to pay attention to what the other Elders were saying.

Most important, the elders said, is to spend more time with your children, even if you must sacrifice to do so.

"I fear my people will not support this," the Elder said.

But in the last 20 years they have made the trip only a few times, the elders of the tribe said.
