Gasoline for February delivery lost 0.51 cent, to 52.46 cents a gallon.
Brent for February delivery fell 36 cents to $112.92 a barrel.
Home heating oil for February delivery was off 0.24 cent, at 70.19 cents a gallon.
The next active contract, for February delivery, also rose $4.60 to close at $392.90.
Prices for February delivery fell 82 cents to $112.24 a barrel.
Natural gas for February delivery fell 11.1 cents, or 5 percent, to $2.153 a thousand cubic feet.
Brent crude for February delivery also slipped nearly $2 on the news to $111.48.
