Rosengarten's first hosting opportunity on the US channel Food Network was Food News & Views.

On weekends, Food News with Melinda Lee airs at 10 a.m., which despite its name is actually a cooking talk show.

She also remains a co-anchor five days a week for the early evening "Food News and Views" program on the national cable Television Food Network.

Mrs. Giuliani has also been at work, as a co-anchor of a daily show, "Food News and Views," on the Television Food Network, which will be available to cable subscribers in New York in February.

"Food News," the quarterly bulletin of the Food Safety and Inspection Service of the Federal Department of Agriculture ran a food safety guide for the storm season in its spring issue.

The TV Food Network gets attention because Donna Hanover, the wife of New York City's Mayor, Rudolph W. Giuliani, is the co-host of "Food News and Views," a daily show reporting on nutrition, cookbooks and pots.

Tony de Angeli has the ear of millions each Thursday as presenter of Food News, his slot on BBC Radio 2's Jimmy Young Show.

The earliest programs included "Getting Healthy," a program on nutrition, "Food News and Views" with the co-anchors Donna Hanover and David Rosengarten delivering updates on the drawbacks of drinking too much liquor, and "Eating Lite," which featured low-fat ethnic recipes.

"Food News and Views" is notable for the presence of Donna Hanover, the wife of Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani.
