The 2/7th & 2/8th served with the Western Frontier Force.
The force at this point became known as the West African Frontier Force.
From there he requested to be succonded to the West African Frontier Force.
The brigade served with the Western Frontier Force from January to October 1916.
The regiment's new designation was 11th Cavalry (Frontier Force).
He was then seconded to the West African Frontier Force as a temporary captain in 1923.
In 1911 the corps took up Frontier Force as its first subsidiary title.
They were then attached for duties with the Western Frontier Force.
He saw service with West African Frontier Force from 1907 to 1910.
After the War he served with the West African Frontier Force until 1924.
