Governor Keating had little time to relax upon taking office.
"People were disciplined, professional and organized - in sum, the government worked," said Governor Keating.
Governor Keating did say he would be willing to raise money for a memorial to the 1921 riot victims.
"So many of us today want to know when the hurt will end," Governor Keating told the crowd after they were inside.

Governor Keating also created a $6 million fund to assist victims and provide for scholarships for children who have lost a parent in the attack.
