I wrote those words three years ago in the introduction to my column collection, "The Great Unraveling."

Following the band's demise, Joy and Malat started the group The Great Unraveling, and Headley went on to play in the group's final lineup.

The British publisher of his latest book, "The Great Unraveling," however, may have taken Mr. Krugman's advice further than he intended.

Joy's first appearance as a front man came in 1995 with The Great Unraveling, a band formed from the ashes of Universal Order of Armageddon.

"Until the Great Unraveling of the late 1960s and early '70s, this shared pop culture was a meeting ground for our nation, a commons that we only years later realized we had lost."
