In addition to HMS Hood (1891), there are other wrecks around the harbour:

HMS Hood (pennant number 51) was the last battlecruiser built for the Royal Navy.

In the Second World War they were carried on HMS Hood.

After his training he was delighted to be assigned to HMS Hood which he joined on 29 July 1939.

HMS Hood was the last battlecruiser built by the Royal Navy.

HMS Hood was a particular target.

Only in its final moments did HMS Hood begin a turn to train all her main guns on the Bismarck.

However, the Bismarck hit HMS Hood and she exploded.

HMS Hood was decommissioned for a major overhaul from May 1929 to May 1931.

In 1940, the 5.5 inch guns were removed from HMS Hood in a refit.
