Mougenel would spend the next two seasons with the Jackson Bandits of the ECHL, appearing in 105 games and scoring 26 goals and 29 assists during his tenure in Jackson.

Jackson Bandits (1999-2003)

The Jackson Bandits anticipated a new arena, to be built by the WorldCom founder, Bernard J. Ebbers.

He would also play in the East Coast Hockey League with the Jackson Bandits, and the Trenton Titans.

The Jackson Bandits were a minor league professional ice hockey team and member of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL).

After a brief spell in the United Hockey League for the Muskegon Fury during their playoff run, Huppe spent the next four seasons in the East Coast Hockey League, where he played for Greenville Grrrowl, Greensboro Generals, Jackson Bandits, Arkansas RiverBlades, Cincinnati Cyclones and the South Carolina Stingrays.

Over the last two years, Mr. Ebbers has sold other assets, including his majority stake in the Jackson Bandits, a minor-league hockey team in Mississippi.

The local hockey team, the Jackson Bandits, in which Mr. Ebbers shared majority control with J.L. Holloway, a local businessman, folded in 2003.
