Japanese central bankers and investors may well be the most worried about the euro.
"All we want is a level playing field," one Japanese banker said.
Japanese bankers said Daiwa has had some trouble raising funds recently.
He gathered his employees and followed some Japanese bankers to an intact exit.
At the time, Japanese bankers said the reaction was less than enthusiastic.
Japanese bankers say their deep pockets and long-term relationships with clients give them an edge.
But he also expects Japanese central bankers to raise interest rates.
"We didn't think about it," said one Japanese banker who spoke on the condition of anonymity.
"If we start injections of public money now, people are going to argue for management changes," the Japanese banker complained.
"The Japanese bankers were very upset by the labor conflict," he said.
