But after a series of hearings, Judge White declined to resume the trial until July 12.
"We hope Judge White will be able to confirm the plan without delay."

As the assistant district attorney tore through the arrest papers, Judge White threw out the case.
The defense lawyer approached the bench to advise Judge White his client would take 45 days for an offense that could theoretically cost six months.
After looking through the defendant's "rap sheet," Judge White said, "The most she ever did was 45.
Only when Judge White threatened not to accept the plea did she admit taking the sweater.
"Instead of four hours, it ought to be 40 hours," Judge White said.
