The Lady Wildcats defeated arch-rival Chavis Middle School 5 to 4 in the county championship game.

This is the first time the Lady Wildcats finished the season with a perfect record.

The school's mascot is the wildcat; female teams, such as the girls' volleyball, basketball or soccer teams, are referred to as "Lady Wildcats".

The Lady Wildcats were undefeated that year as well.

She grew up in Cleveland, playing many sports, including basketball, playing forward for the Lady Wildcats.

The Lady Wildcats have been very successful in years past, but have recently been dubbed "riff raff" by cross town rivals.

The Lady Wildcats won second place in their district during the 2000-2001 and 2001-2002 seasons, losing to their county rival Meadow Heights.

The Lady Wildcats are currently coached by Sandy Davis and Greg Nenninger.

The Lady Wildcats won third place at the Class 1 State Volleyball Tournament during the 2007-2008 season.

The Lady Wildcats also have a large freshman class this season, and will look to it to provide some depth for later in the season.
