Lake said to himself, as if he'd just been given his own death sentence.

"The time would come when we'd have to leave here," Lake said.

"I have a good man to run the campaign," Lake said, anxious to offer something.

"I wanted to get in here and play the last two preseason games," Lake said.

Lake said of his decision to buy the property, "I just thought it needed saving."

Still, Lakes said he had no regrets about his return.

"So the cold war is back," Lake said, his words fading at the end.

Dumping the ball off doesn't have the same psychological impact as running, Lake said.

"You need things that give people a warm glow," says Lake.

"I've been wondering about another way to get in shots at close range," Lake said.
