Bob Lancaster was raised in the small community of Little Lake, Ontario.

The pond is called "Little Lake" in a 1901 plat book.

Later, when the post office opened in 1861 it was called Little Lake.

Without recreational structures to prescribe visitors' experiences, Little Lake has become host to a diverse biological and cultural ecology.

The present Little Lake now is about 4-6 feet deep.

Narka began as a railroad camp before Little Lake was settled.

A post office operated at Narka from 1909 to 1913, when the service was transferred to Little Lake.

The community was known as Little Lake, because of its proximity to the body of water.

In March 1966, the post office was renamed as Little Lake.

The lake is also referred to locally as "Little Lake".
