"We've probably got 16 or 17 guys who can start on defense," Lynch said.

"His performance in spring training showed why he needed a little more time," Lynch said.

Lynch has said that he is "not a political person".

"We're getting a lot of people looking who've never been in the neighborhood before," Lynch said.

"I get to do a little bit of everything," Lynch said.

"Nobody had stopped them like we did," Lynch said after the game.

Lynch said Thomas thought he did not have to be present for today's session.

"I saw it in his eyes that he wanted to go there," Lynch said.

"I wanted to do something to fire up the offense," Lynch said.

"Our reports, obviously from a couple years ago, were pretty good," Lynch said.
