Using computers to teach courses in computer literacy is like "using pencils to teach courses about pencils," said Marc Tucker, who oversaw the study.

Another advocate of the method, Marc Tucker, says Vermont's experiment has begun to transform the method into a practical approach of refining the skills of American school children.

The NCEE published a new study in December 2006, also co-authored by Marc Tucker which is essentially an updated version of the America's Choice report.
