The Met Museum is devoting a season-long series to the various talents of this irrepressible and indefatigable pianist, chamber musician and pedagogue in honor of his 80th birthday (on Dec. 16).

Robert Frank's once-controversial images of 1950s American life, collectively entitled The Americans, is on show at the Met Museum in New York.
